Vitae Caps S.A has bet on organic products with its organic
certification approved since July 2009. This certification refers to the
range of products Vitapherole® T and Vitapherole® E intended for the
food sector.
This certification is handled by EcoCert which assures our products
compliance with European Regulation (CE) No. 834/2007 and No.889/2008
related to the production and labeling of organic products, as well as
(NOP, National Organic Program)
In addition Vitae Caps S.A is now in the process of having organic
certification for cosmetic area and it is expected that our company and
products will be included in EcoCert listing as a raw material approved
in organic cosmetics.
Regarding to Health Claims, EFSA has recently given its favorable
opinion to the claims related to the cholesterol reduction effect of
phytosterols. Once health claims are publisged in DOUE then all food
applications enriched with our Vitasterol® S-80 can be labelled with
claims as «it has been proved that plant sterols reduce the plasmatic
cholesterol. A reduction in the cholesterol level could reduce the risk
of cardiovascular disease»
